What is the Warm Homes Local Grant?
The Warm Homes Local Grant (WH:LG) is the grant-funded arm of the government's Warm Homes Plan. Eligible households can receive up to £30,000 of fully funded home energy upgrades — no upfront cost, no repayment. It covers insulation, solar panels, air source heat pumps, battery storage and heating controls.
In Lancashire, the grant is administered by Cosy Homes in Lancashire (CHIL), a council-backed delivery body operating across all Lancashire districts.
