Under the Warm Homes Plan, eligible households can have solar panels installed at no cost — but 'free' needs unpacking: free for some, heavily subsidised for everyone. Yes — but only through the Warm Homes Local Grant (WH:LG), and only if your household meets both criteria: - EPC rating of D, E, F or G - Gross household income at or below £36,000 If you meet both, solar PV is one of the measures your property can receive under the WH:LG. The grant covers the full cost — panels, inverter, installation, wiring and commissioning. Lancashire households If you're in Lancashire with an EPC of D or below and household income under £36,000, you are very likely eligible for fully funded solar.
